अच्छा Great location and very friendly staff, only downfalls that we were there during the hottest day of the year and there was no air-conditioning a little warm! But overall a nice day

Room and hotel in general clean.
Staff all friendly
Breakfast excellent! And although restaurant was busy no queues. Breakfast staff well organised and efficient

अच्छा I had a sunny room on the top floor. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The staff were lovely. It was great to be able to walk to the theatre and museums. I would absolutely stay at the Tavistock again if it wasn't for the plumbing.
Bathroom sink - water literally "spit" out when I turned the faucet on.
Bathtub - shower spray was so incredibly weak that I washed my hair using the bath faucet, which was very painful as the floor of the bath has a sort of crinkle (non-slip) pattern.
I am not sure if this was just my room or the same for all rooms because my stay was short enough that I didn't want to deal with changing rooms.

Location is great in Bloomsbury, walkable to Oxford Street, Kings Cross and other places. I had the smallest room. Bed & amenities (tea & coffee, shampoo etc) were good. Bathroom is small and a bit tired.
No Aircon, but there was a fan in the room, which was needed in the heatwave (36 degrees when I was there)!!
The worst part is the old windows which make the room quite noisy as the hotel is surrounded by roads on all sides. They do provide ear plugs in the rooms though.
Overall, for the price and location it is OK value. I would probably stay there again if I needed to be in that area of London.

Staff excellent as always, hotel vibe v pleasant.
Room bit cramped, but no air con in room and was hottest weekend of year in London.
Otherwise all good.

A fantastic central hotel close to transport and dining. Breakfast was fantastic. Our family room was large and comfortable- but a little hot.

Room was very clean but small by Canadian standards. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were amazing. Room was very quiet. Hotel was close to bus, train and tube transport. Would stay there again.

Arrived at check in time to be inform that as my Husband was the lead name I couldn’t have access to the room with my child as despite having my passport with same name and confirmation in hand I “could be anyone”. I wasn’t allowed to phone him for the same reason so he had to email reception which added 15 mins to the wait whilst receptionist dealt with others.
No power in room other than lights, raised and waited 30 mins with nobody arriving to fix. Then highlighted to reception at 5:30pm when leaving room, told it would be fixed. Returned at 11:05pm and it was still not fixed. 3 requests is poor.
Nice enough hotel, cracking location but for the reasons above I won’t be returning.
