We had reserved two rooms. One of the rooms had such an awful, musty smell that it hit you as soon as you opened the door. We notified reception and were given a bottle of air freshener. Sprayed half a bottle in the room and went out to dinner. When we came back smell was still there and still as pungent. TV was also not working so we called reception again. Member of staff came up to try and fix the TV and noticed the smell (almost like they had not believed us when raised the first time). We were then moved to another room which was smelling a lot better. Both rooms were in need of repairs, bathroom doors damaged and wall in a bad condition. They were clean, so that's something. A was very loud, but no way of opening windows so only way to get fresh air.
Breakfast was just basic, only apples and oranges as fresh fruit, nothing to put on bread apart from jam and marmite, no cheese no cold meats. Very limited options and staff was not helpful or even looking like they wanted to be there.
Location was superb, although if travelling by car parking is expensive. We parked in the B4 car park as instructed, were given the 55% discount and still paid close to £20 for 15 hours.
Would not use this hotel again.

Not really got a bad thing to say. If I was being ultra-picky the air con sort of cooled the room but didn’t really make it cold. But it was just about cool enough!

We are so happy to recommand a friend in this hotel because of high level of customer service and wonderfull staff. We did ssked for later check out and they gave us two hours for fee.

I received a very warm welcome upon arrival and the staff were very helpful. The room was spacious and clean, brilliant shower, comfortable bed, wifi worked very well. Some of the dinner options were not available which was disappointing but the staff were very flexible about providing my meal. Breakfast was good, with the option to "grab and go" by building a breakfast bap to takeaway. Will definitely stay again.
