The room had a strange musky smell on arrival. When the heater was turned on there was a strong stale cigarette smell produced which indicates the room used to be smoked in. Only 1 of 2 windows opened to air it out.
Needing the windows opened due to the smell meant that you could hear hwy traffic all night.
The place is old, somewhat maintained but the carpark is a shambles. The bathroom tap dripped all night. The beds were actually comfy so theres a good point.
We wont be back however.

Don’t be misled by the name and the pics - this place is right in town and just off a highway. No bucolic getaway this.
Room was fine for our needs - but a bit tattered around the edges. We didn’t expect much for the price and were not disappointed.

Friendly checkin process at the bar. Large room, with comfy QS bed. Aircon, TV, Ensuite etc. Food in Bistro was ok. Still haven’t seen the pool yet. Inconsiderate guests upstairs were noisy from midnight until 3:30am.

Very tired rooms that need to be upgraded. Very noisy particularly if you are the downstairs rooms as you can hear every noise in the upstairs rooms. Very loud party type atmosphere as the pokie room is open until 2am with many people talking very loudly and being disrespectful to the other guests when heading to their rooms. Not worth the money they charge per room

Rooms are awful, unclean, furniture falling apart, stains and spills everywhere, damaged walls, other peoples hairs everywhere. I didnt stay.
