Great location. The shared bathroom was a bottleneck.

The place was in fine shape, and the staff were helpful! The property isn't going to "wow" you, but the location is absolutely perfect if you plan to spend time in the Alfama area. Very walkable to most of the main tourist attractions, and many lovely cafes and good restaurants.

One star for the location, and one star for the staff.
The main issue was the terrible soundproofing. On my very first night, just as I was about to fall asleep, I could clearly hear the passionate duet performance from the couple next door. Unfortunately, that was not the lullaby I was hoping for.
Secondly, the room on the first night was not very clean. The bedsheets and other linens had obvious stains that looked impossible to wash out, which made the stay rather uncomfortable.

Room is clean, but too noise. Staff are nice. There’s no kitchen. Not sure the air conditioning. I feel a little warm.
