This tour was absolutely amazing and we see some amazing locations and had some great photo opportunities at kulen waterfalls ,kulen cliff and 1000 linga and reclining Buddhist statue. The driver and guide were very nice ,friendly and knowledgeable about the history of each place the points were unrushed. we finished the trip with an amazing meal.Chout the guide went above and beyond to make the this trip as good as it could possibly be 10/10
Kulen Mountain tour guided by Mr. Makara, and overall, it was a decent experience. The highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking view at Kulen Cliff, which offered a stunning panorama of the surrounding area. We spent about 35 minutes at the Kulen Waterfalls, enjoying the serene atmosphere and refreshing waters, which was a perfect spot to relax and take photos. Additionally, saw 1000 linga and visited the resting Buddha. The journey to Kulen Mountain was approximately 50km, and while the scenic route was enjoyable, the comfort of the vehicles could definitely be improved for a better travel experience. On our way back, we visited a palm sugar shop, which was a nice touch that allowed us to see a local product being made.
Excellent trip in Seim Reap besides Angkor Wat. Our van driver Vuth was careful and focused. Our tour guide Sary provided us interesting information about each destination. He also offered help taking pictures and videos too. Both were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this tour in Seim Reap. It's near Seim Reap and Instagrammable too.
We booked a Join-in trip for this itinerary. The normal timeline would be Mountain View > Pagoda > 1000 lingas > Cool Down in the waterfalls. But are your guide, Bong Sayon, started at the waterfalls first which made our trip more private as we are the only tourist to visit the sites. I highly recommend to visit the water falls during the wet season. The 1000 lingas is a bit underwhelming for the view but the hidtory behind it is awesome.
It was an interesting tour, our tour guide Makara is very nice and kind person, from our hotel tuktuka pick up us to join the mini van tour going to the Kulen Mountain all the places that we went to were very amazing and interesting places.
That was an extremely pleasurable day at the Kulen National Park. Plenty of attractions engulfed by nature. Mr. Narith was a very knowledgeable and helpful tour guide. Always willing to answer any questions you might had. There should be more people like him. A well-organized and professional service. Thank you.
Nice tour to Kulen Park and waterfall. Our guide (Makara) came to pick me up on time in the minivan around 8.10am. Very friendly and polite guy who cracks some jokes from time to time. He is happy to help answer any questions and shared information about the "god-king" and his story associated with Kulen. This supplemented my understanding from previous temple tours. He also help us to take some posing photographs (personal picture not shown here). The cliff view was good, and we saw the river of thousand linggas. The waterfall was good as well albeit it can be hard to get good pictures due to the huge number of tourists+ locals who were there (it was a Saturday). The reclining Buddha was ok to see too and get to see the locals be going up as well. Had lunch and on the way back, we pass by the landmine museum and went to take a look too. Saved me extra time on making another trip to this museum. It's actually a small museum with some artifacts of exploded ordnance/gun shells/different types of mines. Educative museum tour overall. Also last stop was the palm sugar production site, not really a factory to say as it is just a small outfit. Nice to know how these palm sugar were made. Tasted one of them as candy, too sweet for my preference. Overall, it is an interesting tour and if you have more time to spend in Siem Reap after the Angkor temple tours and Tonle Sap lake/floating village tour, you may want to consider going for this tour as well.
We had 3 adults for this tour. Aside from the slightly small vehicle, and not too good lunch venue (vs restaurants in town), the rest of the experience was great. Our guide, Mr John, is knowledgeable and helped us take fabulous photos. We got to taste palm candy, local tonic rice wine, washed ourselves in spring water and took a swim in the cooling waterfall. A good and different experience from the temple tours. Highly recommended.
Our tour guide was Makara. Our small group of four consisted of solo travelers. It was a fantastic tour where Makara showed us around, actively taking photos for us. He provided insightful history and cultural information about Cambodia, making the stories engaging. We visited the spring water and a small stream in the mountains, and our group was fortunate to see both the carvings on the riverbed and the waterfall. We also visited the temple with the reclining Buddha, surrounded by many food stalls—I was starving. Despite wanting a bag of chips, Makara invited us to try local snacks, which I loved. They are so good; you have to try them. The waterfall was breathtaking. Please take a dip—you won't regret it, and it would be a waste not to soak in the energy. The restaurant we stopped by for food is legit and authentic Cambodian food with options for Western food too. Clean and beautiful. On our way back, we visited the landmine museum (not obligatory to enter) and observed palm sugar making. A small bottle of palm sugar to bring home costs 1 USD. I highly recommend getting it, as it supports the community.
