This was great fun/time. Saori was my guide, and she was incredible in helping me create my family name in kanji. She gave all the options and the explanation of the kanji meaning to create the proper one for my family name. She then brought me to a small hanko shop for the creation process. Saori was also extremely helpful as the staff didn’t know English. She was able to translate and help complete the process quickly. Be warned: read the Klook description properly. The hanko price is not included in the guide. Be ready to spend some extra money on your hanko. Basic price starts at around 3,000 Yen with no case (you need a case), and can go as high as 20,000 Yen for some of the fancy models with dragons, tigers, or phoenixes on them. Soari then took me for a quick tour around the major Shinjuku tourist spots while we waited for the 90-minute hanko creation process. All in all, I had a great time.
