We really enjoy this day tour which was well arranged and planned from end to end. Our tour guide, 海导 is very informative, friendly and thoughtful. Lunch included is also good. The scenery of Stone forest is really amazing. Dianchi Lake is just for bird watching

great value for money given the inclusion of entrance ticket and electric car. if you are thinking “it’s just a bunch of rocks but maybe I should check it out?” then this tour is for you - it’s a walk through the most popular sites/clusters/stones with a bit of historic stories told in Mandarin by the guide. if you are unfamiliar with Chinese tours, it’s basically stops at places you want to take pictures. if you are really trying to soak in a place, you probably want to go by yourself. lunch had the Yunnan roast duck but felt rushed. DianChi lake was fine, good for kids to blow bubbles and run around without the hustle of a timed walk. I really liked BingBing as our guide, she tried really hard to be accommodating of everyone and handled disgruntled people with care. I didn’t get the meet up time and precise location until 9-10pm the night before, which the company can improve upon, but I understand it is peak tourist season. i thought the tour was very toddler friendly.

It was raining heavily when we reached Dianchi lake. Nothing much to see and experienced as it was cloudy and blurry. We had lunch with our group of tourists and was acceptable. Next destination at the Stone forest was a much better experience. The guide, Ms Xiao Wu did an excellent job as she guided as through the stone forest maze and give us a good tour of the place. The light rain made it more pleasant to tour the stone forest (not so hot) and we had an amazing time.

I visited Dian chi in end Jul where there is no seagulls. it was a cloudy and gloomy day. In the afternoon we went to stone forest, it was interesting but very crowded, full of tourists. the guide Xiaohu was friendly and takes good care of us.

Tour guide ah mi is friendly, nice and very knowledgeable, shared with us what to do and where to eat in Kunming and even helped us take photo throughout the tour. Started the tour at Dianchi lake, nothing much there since it is not the season-thus no seagulls sighted and sky was pretty gloomy this morning. Next was lunch, it was okay nothing too fancy. After that head to Stone forest, fortunately was blessed with great weather, just follow guide ah mi and she will explain the main highlight on the way. After stone forest, while on the way back, a small hiccup where we needed to wait at the highway for replacement bus. else everything was good, pace is great. highly recommend

Our tour today at the Stone Forest and Dianchi Lake became even more memorable because of our amazing tour guide, Zhang Xiao Fan. He is very knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about sharing the history and beauty of stone forest. Even though we could not fully understand Chinese, he made every effort for us to understand everything by sending detailed information and explanations through WeChat, which we truly appreciated. What made the experience even more special was how accommodating and thoughtful he was throughout the entire tour. He not only guided us very well, but he also became our personal photographer, making sure we captured beautiful memories in every spot we visited. His kindness, professionalism, and positive energy made us feel comfortable and welcome the whole day. I highly recommend getting Zhang Xiao Fan as your tour guide. He will not only show you the places, but he will also make your journey meaningful, enjoyable, and unforgettable.

As a non-Chinese speaker I was a little nervous for this tour, but I had an amazing experience! My guide was very accommodating and texted me through Wechat to explain the itinerary. He also asked me if I wanted pictures at all the cool photo opts 😁 Definitely recommend!

Bing Bing was awesome and understanding on my plight that cannot climb lots of stairs so she let me ease out and planned a location for is all to meet up! She's also the best photographer, able to snap really good angles hehe 😉 I would recommend Bing Bing to all!

The stone forest is a must visit place in Kunming. There was even performances by various ethnic minorities, very enjoyable. Dianchi lake was scenic. Overall highly recommend tour, just there is no English guide but communication can be easily done on Wechat through automatic translation.

stayed within second ring road area, and we got free pick up. we still took this trip although we dont understand chinese because this is the only tour for stone forest + dianchi. the tour guide (lausanne) was accommodationg although we dont understand each other lol
