Bien My experience is based on staying in a single room for one night, perhaps the double rooms are better. I was unfortunately placed on the basement floor, where there is no air con and the windows don’t open. The room was tiny, but that’s okay. The reception staff did not help with getting luggage down to the dark, dungeon-like rooms.
Do not expect a great breakfast- it wasn’t bad, but keep in mind it’s just enough for a quick bite of bread or cereal before going somewhere else for a proper meal.

En dessous de la moyenne Due to the outbreak of US Iran war we had to cancel our booking at Hyde Park due to air flight restrictions. We notified the Hyde well in advance (1st week March), and although we had booked the accomodation with a 'no cancellation' policy, we believed we had given more than sufficient notice for the hotel to recover the booking. Given that the circumstance were due to the war, we thought they may either offer a credit or partial refund for the stay. Unfortunately, they were not open to either and we believe this was taking an advantage of the situation at the time. Accordingly, we retained the booking and were a no-show

The location is ideal, close to everything. Room was clean and everything a traveller needs was there providing convenience and comfort. Staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend and cone back.

This was a terrible experience! Do not stay here. The front desk person was rude. Our room was in the basement, the ceiling had a leak, the sink did not drain. The shower was so small, you could not turn around. I asked to be moved to another room as we were staying there for 6 days. I was told NO! Upon checkout, at 11:05 as we were leaving the room, the same rude staff person was at our door making sure we were leaving.

Reception manager was extremely helpful, polite and welcoming. The location is very good, convenient for Paddington but also quite, plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby and a few minutes from Hyde Park. The building is tastefully renovated and very clean.
