The host, AJ, met us as we drove up to the camp, with a warm welcome and doggie treats for our 2 pups. He was amazing in explaining how this unique location works. We are 'senior citizens' and haven't slept in a tent in decades, but the sleeping accommodations were wonderful - everything provided. We wondered how we would survive without electricity, but it was exactly what we needed. We got to spend such good quality time together without distractions. The camp is located just a few miles from Tropic out in the open, under the stars, and with a beautiful sunset and sunrise. The camp is very pet - friendly. Bathrooms were always clean. We look forward going back there someday.

Its glamping, but very basic. The bed is comfy and its nice to have clean showers and flushing toilets. The hot water didn't work at first but that was fixed. Our biggest let down was not having a place to relax outside. There are about 4-5 picnic tables and fire pits to share between 22+ tents. We would have appreciated a couple of lounge chairs right outside of our tent to chill after long days of hiking. Instead we felt we.had to stay out doing activities until bed time. For us it wasn't ideal. It's fine as long as you're okay with that.

Absolutely LOVED staying here. Great location very near to Bryce Canyon and other hikes we did in the area. The beds were super comfortable, everything was clean and fresh, the shared bathrooms were clean and easy to access. We used the fire pit and it was nice that there was a picnic table by it. Our dog came along and she LOVED exploring and it was so dog friendly. Check in was easy, the camp is beautiful, and the starry skies! A couple of close restaurants and small grocery stores in Tropic (5 minutes away) and we were worried about being cold, but the tents and bedding were very comfy. Would totally stay here again.

We had a great stay and would have loved to stayed longer! We had a group of five and rented two tents, everyone in our group LOVED how comfortable the beds and linens were. The shower had hot water and we still had cell signal. Would definitely recommend to others.

We arrived late at night. It was past the time host was there for check in. Let them know we’d be late prior. Did not receive our tent number until after arrival. Wasn’t sure if we’d be sleeping in the parking lot or what?! Maps took us down some random dirt road. Drove around forever looking for the place. It was pitch dark, no lights and sign was tiny to the camp. Missed it multiple times. Finally had to call a friend to look at satellite and our location to lead us to the camp.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience staying two nights at Wander Camp. The hosts were wonderful and welcoming when checking in and gave us a thorough rundown on the facilities, amenities, and how to use the propane heater. The bed was comfortable and kept us warm throughout the night especially when it dropped to 33 degrees. The bathrooms were clean and did have hot water but I recommend showering in the late afternoon before the evening starts to cool for the most comfortable shower. The night sky was a beautiful bonus to staying here. Worth the rugged experience!

Fantastique Parking was easy, the road is unpaved and had a little mud but I had all-terrain tires so it was fine and should we for most vehicles, it wasn’t too bad but it rained a day or so before we showed up which is rare during the dry season. Fun times though, the fire pit areas are great and have cooking utensils
