Plenty of free water bottles, Mediterranean style breakfast, and good location for exploring. Note they will suggest local tourist places for food but that is expected. Open drains in the bathrooms can have smells.

The hotel was perfectly located near all the major sights, a short walk from the docks and 2 mins from the train station. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They made the stay better.

Bien I recently stayed one night at the Green Parrot hotel. The room was small but clean and had a comfortable bed. There was no fridge in the room but the hotel did have free self service water water/tea/coffee available. The only downside to the room was a minor septic smell in the bathroom. The breakfast was just ok. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a back alley but is just a short walk to restaurants, bars and shops. For a 2 star hotel the Green Parrot did exceed expectation.

This hotel was absolutely ideal for my stay in Istanbul. Although it was in a quiet back lane, it was just a short walk to the main tourist attractions, as well as to the tram and metro links to the rest of the city. It did help to have Google Maps on my phone for finding things (including getting back to the hotel), as the entire area is something of a maze.
Accommodation was comfortable and reasonably spacious, with most of the amenities one would want. Breakfast was good with a fascinating variety of options and although there were no tea/coffee facilities within the room, there was the opportunity to help oneself to coffee or hot water beside reception.
If I visit Istanbul again, I'd certainly use the Green Parrot.
