Positives Good location Negatives Felt like a youth hostel. Dark, dingy corridors, no sound insulation, large gaps under room door which meant all hallway light came into room. Mattress was larger than the base which meant it nearly came off on a couple of occasions. A totally unpleasant place to stay - how is this 4 star?

Great location and wonderful staff.

Great location, beautiful room and friendly staff.

The rooms are very confortables and the Breakfast was delicious

Hotel was clean and in an excellent location to walk into Central Bruges. Rooms very clean with lots of helpful amenities like fridge, kettle, safe, tea and coffee. Aircon was fine. Showers hot and powerful, but very unusual bathroom layout, with glass window looking into shower and wc. Not a problem for a married couple, but maybe a bit awkward otherwise. Rooms quiet and comfortable. Very pleased with our stay. Thank you

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Hotel Portinari! The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was spacious, smartly designed, and had a great shower. We loved the view and the fact that it was near everything yet very quiet at night. The location was unbeatable with a quick walk to the center of town and a short taxi or 15 minute walk to the train. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety and was of high quality. We highly recommend this hotel!

clean room, staff was nice;

Great location

Very close to everything. Small bedroom but ok and clean.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Portinari very much. Every employee was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. We were close to the train station, restaurants, sites in Brugge and all the chocolate a person could ever want! This was also just steps away from a bicycle garage which was very helpful.
