Fantastique We had a lovely stay with an amazing view of the canal from right on the top floor. The stairs are a little quirky but makes it a properly authentic experience. Would definitely stay again.

A lovely room. Top floor with great views out over the canal. Be mindful the staircases are VERY steep and there is no lift.
The bed was exceedingly comfortable, we slept so well. Not at all noisey, probably due to being on the 3rd floor (4th if you’re American).
Great location. A 3min walk from nearest tram stop and under 10mins walk to nearest metro.
Staff were very helpful and explained everything so well on arrival. Excellent English.
I would highly recommend staying here at Hotel Amstelzicht

Convenient location, clean and comfortable, helpful welcoming staff, charming building in classic Dutch style (with very steep narrow stair case). The only downside is that the bar next door was very noisy at night. Might be ok with the window closed but as it was so hot during our stay we had to have the window open. Recommend bringing ear plugs just in case!

Fantastique Great location! Close to restaurants, bars, and roughly a 30 minute walking distance to all the things you want to see. Lovely staff, very helpful. Would stay here again. Limited toiletries. But we had an absolutely great stay.

Awkward, uncomfortable check in with a poorly trained staff member who really should have not been left on the reception desk without senior support.
Woken up multiple times due to excessive noise both inside and outside the property.
Not even offered a bottle of water for my elderly mother just directing us to the minibar in the room charging €3 a bottle.
Do not recommend this hotel and will not return.
