I hope my review will be helpful to other guests who are considering this hotel. It's a beautiful old building. We enjoyed our stay. There are no elevators and the rooms are upstairs so travel light, if possible. There was a staff member who helped with our bags so that was very helpful for my elderly parents. On the first night, there were not many guests so it was lovely and quiet. On the second night, it was the weekend so there were many more guests and it became very noisy. You can hear people talking loudly outside in the common spaces, kids stomping around on the floor above, crying and squealing in the middle of the night and early in the morning. The walls are thin and the floor creaks so it's hard to have a good rest. Bring ear plugs. A fitness centre was advertised in the hotel description but when we enquired, there wasn't one. The staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was simple but good. The wifi was good enough for Zoom. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner kept the room very cool. The location is excellent for exploring Jonkers Street and the shops and restaurants along the river. Overall, it's a great hotel if you are looking for something with character, old world charm, and good service in a central location.

Each room is a suite -spacious and with a sitting lounge. Tastefully designed for relaxation and meeting friends on ground floor. Enjoyed the ambience. People with mobility - no lift to room.

Great super friendly staffs! The room is beautiful and kept very tidy and spacious. Amenities are in good condition. Location needless to mention, is perfect - right at Jonker Street.

Beautiful Peranakan mansion with large rooms, helpful staff, excellent breakfast and many lounging areas. There is much street noise when the night market closes off Jonker Street. For Fri, Sat, Sunday nights, ask for rooms far from Hereen Street.

Room is okay but can improve on the soundproof. Abke to hear the next unit open & slam door.

Old town Melaka in this hotel our suite was spacious and the bathroom was modern and beautiful. The bed was spacious and lounge chair amazing. Enjoyed the walkable tours . Food suggestions and many options to eat and shop. This hotel was over 100 years d with Asian inlays and carved furnishings. The Portuguese architecture was awesome blended with Chinese decor. Enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to stay here again.

Good friend staff and room is well maintain.

Great location, right next to Jonker street. The only issue with I had was the squeaky wooden floors. I heard mine as well as my neighbors. As long as you don’t mind that, place is awesome

Friendly staff. Concerned that they would not return my deposit which they took on my first night after 7 days. Also expect to pay all nights on the first day. Beautiful Perakaan house. Locality is ideal for sight seeing and eating local food. Grab drivers are helpful and friendly
