Staying at Hotel Abedessa was one of those rare travel experiences where the building, the history, and the people all come together to create something unforgettable. The hotel itself is a gem — full of character, beautifully preserved details, and that unmistakable Venetian charm that makes you feel like you’re living inside the city’s story rather than just visiting it. The location couldn’t be better: tucked into a quiet, atmospheric corner of Venice while still being just a short walk from the city’s most iconic sights. What truly elevated our stay, though, was the hospitality from Navid. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine care set the tone from the moment we arrived. He made us feel like welcomed guests rather than just travelers passing through. We will undoubtedly return to Palazzo Abedessa on our return to the city.

Such a lovely oasis in the middle of Venice - the old world charm, back garden and staff were wonderful. Room was small - but charming and the decor was historically cool.

The hotel has a lot of old-world charm. The staff is very attentive, and the rooms are spacious and beautiful. The hotel serves a great breakfast that you can eat either inside their dining room or outside in the garden. There is a small dock in the back for water taxi access if you wish to hire one. The hotel is located in the Cannaregio neighborhood, well situated between the Ca d' Oro water bus stop (visit the ACTV site) on the canal and the Fondamente Nova stop on the northern coast. You can also get on the Alilaguna boat (different company) to the airport from there. It is about an 8-minute walk to either stop. The Rialto bridge is less than 10-minute walk and St. Mark's square is maybe 15. You can also take the water bus from Fondamente Nova to St. Marks - familiarize yourself with the ACTV routes! The main street is just south of the hotel and is lined with shops and restaurants. One of the main gondola docks is very close if you want to go for a ride.

Such a lovely hotel, close to the main streets but actually quiet nevertheless. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Having our breakfast in the garden was a real treat. Would recommended as a great base to explore the city.

This was a hotel that felt like it had stepped out of beauty and the beast , very u usual but beautiful. The staff were amazing , would definitely go back . Food was good , staff always on hand and helped book transport , arranged a trip and just generally gave great advice . Felt really comfortable and welcome . Easy walking distance to shops but also really peaceful
