Unfortunately, my stay started with a very poor check-in experience. The staff seemed unfamiliar with the package I had booked and provided no explanation of the room type or package benefits. I was incorrectly told that breakfast was not included, despite it being part of my reservation. Several advertised package inclusions were either missing or misrepresented. The eye mask was not provided, and I was informed that the Dyson hairdryer could only be borrowed for three hours, which was inconsistent with the package description. There was also unnecessary confusion regarding parking. I was asked to retrieve my parking ticket so it could be charged to my room, but after returning with it, I was told it was not needed and that the charge could be processed immediately. The room itself was disappointing. The TV was not functioning properly, with audio issues making it unusable. Overall, the room felt poorly maintained. Despite being on a high floor, there was no meaningful view, and noise during the night made it difficult to rest. Overall, the combination of poor communication, lack of staff knowledge, maintenance issues, and nighttime noise fell well below expectations and significantly impacted the quality of the stay.

Nice staff

Very central to everything you could want to do along the waterfront. My only gripe was having a knock at the door at 9am to service our room on a weekend morning…… Traffic can be very loud during the night with boy racers tearing up and down the street

Stayed 1 night cos we had a function at the crown nearby. Convenient location and nice modern facilities

First time stay at the West, we found the location and the facilities very good. The rooms were small with little storage. Wasn’t a fan of the open closet space and the lack of draws storage.

It was a decent hotel, staff were polite, breakfast lounge staff helpful and so were the front desk... Thank you Hotel WEST..

Blair from the US was particularly helpful.

Well priced and great location

The room was clean, genuinely friendly staff, and a fantastic breakfast. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Was good
