I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel this experience deserves to be shared.
During my stay, the hotel experienced both a water and electrical outage, leaving guests without access to basic necessities. I understand emergencies happen and that not every situation is within a hotel’s control. However, how a hotel responds during a crisis is what truly matters.
I was in town on a business trip, while my husband and our two young children were staying at the hotel. Without running water and reliable electricity, it became impossible for my family to remain there. As a result, I had to book and move them to another nearby Hilton property at my own expense.
I reached out to the hotel and later emailed both the hotel management and Hilton Corporate requesting consideration for reimbursement or compensation due to the disruption. Unfortunately, I have not received any response from either management or corporate.
The lack of communication has been the most disappointing part of this experience. A simple acknowledgment or update would have gone a long way. Instead, I was left to find another hotel for my family while trying to fulfill my work obligations.
I have always trusted the Hilton brand and understand that unexpected situations can occur. However, I expected much better communication, customer service, and follow-up from both the hotel and Hilton. I hope this review encourages management to improve how they support guests during emergencies and
improve customer service.
