Great location with very friendly staff. We were welcomed with a free drink on the terrace which was lovely. There is a parking garage very close by which was only 20EUR for about 20hrs worth of parking.

It was a beautiful room and amazing views of the city center of Lisbon, especially the river, ponte 25 de abril and Cristo Rei.

The best things at Solar Dos Mouroa, besides an incredible view of the river from the heart of the old city is the service. All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating from the moment we arrived. A special shout out to Rio, who came and rescued us himself when our taxi driver left us downhill at the wrong location with all of our heavy luggage. Breakfast was quite a nice spread too, especially with the make your own crepe station!

Staff at the front desk are amazing, going above and beyond to make your stay as smooth as possible. Room was clean with an amazing view, and the welcome drink was a plus. Can’t recommend this hotel enough. Just be aware that it is at the top of 7 flights of stairs and multiple hills, but there is an elevator that can get you closer.

Stayed in the Riverview suite. The room was very nice. The view was excellent. You should know there's lots of steps in the hotel in Portugal in general Play slack! Some big hotel amenities but it is nice and charming. The stiff was very good, pleasant and welcoming

Fantastique Second time staying here. If you’re looking for a luxury lobby/reception area, this is not the place for you. It’s efficient and spotless. Front desk guys are super helpful. It’s a walk-up building, they carry your bags, probably not great if you have mobility issues. The bedrooms are gorgeous. I stayed in room 7 last time. 6 this time. You get the feeling that you’re staying in a beautifully lit super bright European apartment. There are huge windows with beautiful views. Either over the back of the castle, or in room 6 over Lisbon and the water. I actually preferred room number 7 facing up to the back of the wall of the castle. Definitely not for someone who’s looking for the Marriott/Hyatt type of experience. It’s quirky but absolutely amazing and I’m actually too scared to book anywhere else for my Lisbon stays.

Clean, modern room with espresso maker, mini fridge, fresh fruits and a decanter of port laid out for us. Windows overlooking the rooftops and ocean. If you constantly run hot like I do, the AC unit and wooden shutters create a cool oasis, along with soft duvet and comfortable mattress. Breakfast (we paid for included meal) was well worth it: eggs, sausage and tomato baked with cheese. Crepes with all sorts of sweet toppings, pastries, bread, meats, cheese, smoked salmon and fruit. The friendly Francois asked after every detail. A hard hike from tram stops but uber from the airport was under $20.
The hotel is above a grocery store, providing for inexpensive lunches and wine. A perfect stay.

An excellent hotel to stay if you want to be close to the main attractions in the old Lisbon, located at a walking distance from the Rossio Metro station. Lots of cafés and restaurants nearby, not to mention the one at the hotel serving delicious Portugese cuisine. Breakfast is also super delicious with croissants, toasts, fresh fruit, eggs, yogourt, cold cuts, pancakes...etc.
The staff is amazing. A big thank to François, Maurice (Momo), Bruno and Anick who were always ready to help. They also made suggestions for tours and visits.
I had the room on the top floor with a private terrace and a wonderful view of the Taje. This room is worth paying a little more if you want to treat yourself. It was my first time in Lisbon and I would definitely stay there when I return.

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights at the Solar dos Mouros in the balcony room. We absolutely loved it and were very sad when it was time to leave.
The staff were all extremely welcoming and helpful from the moment we got there. Francois in particular was fantastic, from checking us in to giving us tips for getting around the city and places to see, he covered everything.
The room was clean, tidy and comfortable, with room service completed each day while we were out exploring the city and let me just say, we could not have asked for a better view from the balcony!
The only thing was that the door to the bathroom/toilet is mostly clear glass, so not a whole lot of privacy.
There are several flights of stairs to the room we stayed in and no elevator, which wasn't an issue for us but something to consider.
There are also two restaurants attached. The main one for the terrace and a traditional Portuguese restaurant.
We ate at the main restaurant and sitting on the terrace. The view was great and so was the food and service.
All round, a fantastic place to stay and we hope to make our way back some day for another much longer stay!
