Super I hate critiquing this place because the staff was so wonderful, but...this flower of a hotel is a very old place, but beautiful and well maintained. I'd go so far as to say that's it's big draw - Beaucoups charm. It's contrasts. The roof top restaurant is the best view in Alexandria, but the food is crap. I had thought there was a pool and beach access and there is; 44 minutes away at another hotel and the shuttle leaves once a day. The rooms are big with high ceilings and the location is right on the street along the Ocean and the views are terrific. But...If I had it to do all over, I'd get a room at a hotel with a pool and beach access, 'cause that's what you go to Alexandria for.

Fantastique We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the location was convenient for exploring the area.

Clean room with great balcony view.
Roof top breakfast was amazing, everything was fresh and staff were super helpful all the time.
Very family friendly with great seating areas!
The staff were absolutely amazing. Would 100% recommend this place and if travel to Egypt again then i will definitely book this hotel.

Fantastique Lovely decor from the colonial era, large well furnished room, but the wrought iron balcony railings desperately need cleaning and repainting to preserve them. The lift is glorious, and operates beautifully.

Needs some attention & money spent on this hotel to live up to expectations.
Staff were excellent but the hotel is clearly badly managed.
Breakfast was not efficient, partly due to unusually high volume of people. The ‘ manager ‘ strutted around watching the wait staff struggle .
1 poor man trying to cook eggs for way too many people. It was a long wait for my poor husband !

I had a beautiful ocean view room with tall ceilings and long draperies and a marble bathroom. The staff is exceptional. They were happy to try out their English skills. The roof deck is incredible. The breakfast is huge with a giant selection and they’ll make you an omelette. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is a classic old Grand Dame.
