This hotel is in an excellent location near Centraal Station and easily accessible to the city. The hotel staff were responsive to messaging and check-in was smooth. The room is very small so would benefit from a few hooks on the walls to help manage belongings in the small space. There was no bath mat to step on. I wasn't confident the bedspread and extra pillow were clean as they had stains and were poor quality material so I just removed them. Overall with a few tweaks this is a great budget hotel.

The room was outdated and very small. Only bath towels were provided, no hand towels or face cloths. The staff at the desk asked us to pay balance owing (taxes) on our room in cash. They said the payment machine wasn’t working. There was always a heavy marijuana smell right outside the front door of the hotel

Conveniently located. You can’t watch people use the toilet from the bed. While my partner and I are close, we are not that close.

Our stay at City View Hotel was extremely disappointing. While the location is excellent—close to the canals and bike rentals—it does not make up for the poor hygiene and serious safety concerns. The room was dirty upon arrival. The floor had dust, hair, and dead insects. Although we were told the bedding had been freshly changed, we found eyebrow hairs and dust on the sheets. After reporting it, staff only vacuumed the room and told us the pillowcases couldn’t be changed until the third day. The worst part was the lack of cleanliness. There was a thick layer of dust and debris under the bed. The air conditioner was covered with visible mould inside, and there was mould on the faucet and shower head. Since the bathroom has no exhaust fan and the A/C turns off whenever you leave the room, the room stayed damp and smelled musty. By the second day, we even noticed small flies in the room. The biggest issue was safety. Housekeeping left our room door not fully closed twice after cleaning. Even worse, they entered our room despite our Do Not Disturb sign being displayed. We reported both incidents, but the front desk only said they would remind housekeeping. Unfortunately, the problem happened again. The reception area also feels dark and unwelcoming. Overall, the service was unacceptable. I cannot recommend this hotel until they seriously improve their housekeeping standards, cleanliness, and guest safety.

Customer service was excellent. Close to restaurants and shops. Air conditioning is ok. Bathroom is too narrow and sink is too small and it’s difficult to brush your teeth because there is a shelf thats blocking it. Hangers is too high to reach.

Location is only thing that good for this hotel , When I arrived here the stuff wasn’t there so I have to wait outside and he pushed me to pay city tax I told him later he repeated asked for twice another day , anyway won’t recommend and won’t come back !

Great location in central Amsterdam. Easy walk to train station. Lots of shops no restaurants nearby. Rooms adequate. Bathrooms very tight with odd glass doors. Bathroom sink tiny and useless. Delicious croissants and complimentary coffee in basement room. Very authentic and charming

Great location on quiet street, but very close to train station. A lot of restaurants are around the corner. Rooms are very small, no storage space, just a couple of hangers. You have to be really tall to reach them. The same is true for the towels, they put them on a very high shelf. We stayed in a room on the very last floor, fitting two carry ons in the lift was a bit of a challenge. Room was clean, but bedsheets were wrinkled and blanket just thrown on top. On the positive side: AC was good, staff very friendly. Hotel is suitable for a short stay, two nights max.

Small but sufficient. Staff was great and a short walk from the train.

Very central location, amazing staff and there’s AC!
