The room was bigger than I thought we had a room to sleep four with 2 singles and a double the staff were so nice we got to store our luggage after arriving at 8am there was a cafe and bar onsite.
Short walk to the train station and shops everywhere I would stay here again the train noise didn’t even bother me

Had the best sleep of our six night Japan trip at this hotel. Maybe it was the trains passing above us that helped us sleep well. The property is very groovy and well situated next to the Akihabara subway station. The staff was very helpful. Loved the vinyl record store next door.

If you are in the Akihabara area and need a hotel with a great location and great atmosphere, you will not go wrong with Under Railway. One of the other deciding factors for this hotel is the fact that they can accommodate a large group, something that is hard to find in Tokyo, depending on your circumstances. Another possible drawback is the sound of the railway above you, but if you are anything like my siblings, a) you might not even notice it after a certain point or b) you might find it soothing.

Great location and I liked the room, which had more floor space than I had expected. The train noise is noticeable, but not bothersome. Will likely look to boom again if visiting Tokyo.

The room smelled immediately of wet carpet/ dirty socks upon entering the room. Bedding was a bit damp feeling, come to find out there's condensation that drips onto one of the beds with the temperature change. Would have been nice to know ahead of time.
