Could not get a better location perched on the edge of the gorge next to the bridge. Surprisingly quiet with birds flying outside your window. Beautiful sunsets . Room a bit tired but updated bathroom is good. Very reasonable rates and some of the best food we had in Spain: La Bottega di Zia Grazziella- unmissable Italian Nonna cooking Best tapas but get there early as no booking at El Lechuguita Definitely worth visiting Ronda

* Hotel failed to respond to direct messages prior to arrival. * Checking in was a little awkward as the female receptionist seemed like she didn’t want to be there! She was a little difficult to deal with, lacking a friendly attitude & didn’t speak English as per the hotels.com listing, however the male receptionist was the polar opposite & very helpful. * I booked a terrace double room with my father expecting 2 single beds but it was a double bed! Other double rooms listed showed single beds, so it’s confusing when booking! Fortunately we were offered a much smaller balcony room with single beds but there was no refund of the higher fee paid for the terrace room. * Our room still had a fantastic view of the Puente Nuevo albeit through bars on the balcony. * The room was very clean with plenty of shower gels, though the towels were not changed after the first night. * There were no amenities in the room such as a kettle, iron or fridge just a hair dryer. * The balcony door in our room had a broken latch so we had to wedge it closed with a chair until we managed to fix it & the wardrobe door would not close properly * The restaurant was very expensive & the reviews stopped us from attending! * However the views alone & the proximity the the centre of Ronda made our stay worthwhile

The rooms are nice. To get to my room, I first took an elevator downstairs, walked 10 meters, and then had to take another elevator to the second floor (a bit inconvenient, but not too bad). Upon arrival, the only two parking spaces for unloading luggage were occupied. It was awkward and even dangerous to unload the car in the second row. When we left, both spaces were occupied by delivery trucks. We asked if they could request that a space be freed up, and they said no! It was crazy. I stayed at this hotel two years ago; the restaurant was excellent. On this trip, it was little more than mediocre, and the service was poor.

This was an amazing location. We did have trouble with parking onsite being fully booked, but there were options in parking lots a 5 minute walk away that were $28 AUD per night so we did that. Our room had beautiful views of the bridge, and we had drinks and dinner at the hotel restaurant on multiple occasions and the food and drinks were wonderful every time.

Clean modern rooms and a friendly helpful staff

I never write bad reviews however this stay warrants one. From the dismissive welcome at reception when we arrived - no direction to the room a wave of the hand - it’s another building 30 metres down the road. That was it - where should we park the car? Another wave of the hand - up the road. Please may I have a map? A sigh and reluctant had over of one of the stack of maps held behind reception. Then to the garage door that opened and closed directly behind our bed head through the night to the room having no natural light to the building doors that opened closed and slammed all night it was definitely not a holiday highlight. Buyer beware.

Staff was awesome, the views from the restaurant were incredible. Walking distance to most of the city. Many Michelin star restaurant in the area. We definitely return to stay there again.

Our superior room was spacious with a nice balcony. We were disappointed that there was no tea and coffee in the room, nor a fridge. Given the status of the hotel and outside temperature, we felt that this was very poor. Curtains over the patio doors were torn and basic items such as a decent sized bin and clothes storage were lacking. Shower was fine but the open design lended itself to flooding. Breakfast was underwhelming. Very basic, but we were alarmed at the toaster, which if you didn't possess nimble fingers fingers, could end in burns. Unbelievable lack of H and S awareness. Hotel is wonderfully situated, but that is really the only positive.
