Lovely place to be

Absolute filthy hotel with no aircon and staff so rude

It took us 50 mins to find the car park I prepaid that’s linked to the hotel. I didn’t know when booking it was on the university campus.Tried calling for help, could only leave a message & nobody got back to me. After many loops of the ring road & the postcode provided taking us to a dead end we spotted the tiny purple sign set far back from the road. Almost impossible to spot when trying to keep out of bus lanes & feeding into traffic. Stressful as I missed the start of my conference. I was just told by reception ‘you’ll find it next time’. My daughter has a health condition which worsens with stress so I also had to cut the first day of my conference short because of the car park debacle. The room service QR code took me to a blank page so we went out to eat. The room was cool & clean but the beds were very hard. There was a pillow menu & the shower was good. Randomly there were geese on site who honked so loudly all night neither me nor my daughter got any sleep. The room facilities listed a hair dryer. I looked everywhere & couldn’t find one. This made getting ready for the second day of my conference stressful. My daughter was going to rest in the room but as we’d had such a disturbed night, she came with me. We were both exhausted so I decided to miss the second day of my conference (that I’d paid for) and drive the 100 miles home. It was a long way to go for a Wagamama’s. I’ve never had to leave a bad review for a hotel but I certainly would never return to this one.

prebooked parking in car park 12 was unable even the road cleaner did not where it was … nosy dusty muggy smell

Great value, good location free use of the gym and pool facilities too. Would Def stay here again.

It was my birthday & decided to treat myself original room although no real complaints a double still felt small however after calling a speaking to Callum on reception that I read received good reviews did upgrade me but I was comfortable but underwhelmed & appreciated effort. The staff however at Tesco were amazing remembered my birthday asked me questions so I felt valued & I hope they're recognised for this service they provided genuinely caring.

Overall good experience but the parking administration and directions were not great. Spent a significant amount of time looking for parking.

The room was lovely and the view was great. Parking is a bit pricey but it’s a safe place.

Staff were amazing, room wasn’t the cleanest but all good. Had breakfast on the first morning after being told about it at check in, and for £30 for two people it was very poor and definitely wouldn’t recommend. Overall a good stay though. Lift maybe needs some maintenance.
