Cute, cozy, Carmel-style boutique hotel! Friendly staff, great location in the heart of a super special unique town. About 10-15 min walk to the big beach. The hotel and the room had a retro cool throwback vibe to the 1950s/60s ... the style of phone, the moldings, the furniture. Very cool experience. Breakfast was very good and included. My only knock if I had to pick one is there isn't an elevator, and we had 3 huge bags to carry due to our 2 week trip. The bellman helped on the way up (for a nice tip of course) but I did it myself on the way down.

The staff was incredibly good and attentive. The breakfast was delicious as well!
The ground floor rooms hear A LOT of foot noise from the rooms above so travelers be aware of this. We will request a top floor next time.
Also, the ‘resort fee’ of $40 per day was excessive (not sure what that was really for exactly) especially considering we had to find street parking, but I guess that’s the standard in the area? Overall great experience and we would stay again for sure.
