A perfectly ok place to spend a few nights but the room is quite small and much more than the three nights we were there would have been a bit much. The flexible happy hour was very good with a selection of drinks to consume. It's not very far from a small park, (don't waste your time or money on that) and handy for quite a few eateries. There's a bus to the station a short walk up the road. The staff were friendly and helpful, they took our luggage in early and left it in our room for our later arrival. A perfectly nice place.

Room was small, but clean. Staff was great. Specifically, the room refrigerator wasn't working. When reported to the front desk, there was a replacement brought up within 5 minutes. I was truly impressed. Food offerings were OK. The one killer amenity was a free hour of free alcohol from roughly 4pm to 10pm. That, and a relatively large eating/drinking area, supported inter-guest interactions. I would most definitely stay there again.

We didn't have much interaction with the staff but the rooms were clean, the amenities were fine and the location within walking distance of kyoto station was excellent. The view from our window was superb.
