Super Great base in the Cotswolds – excellent food, comfy stay (just bring earplugs!)
Overall Rating: 4 / 5 Stars
We recently stayed at The Inn For All Seasons near Burford and found it to be an excellent base for getting around and exploring the wider area. A really handy bonus for EV drivers: there are fast car chargers just three minutes down the road.
Food & Service
The dining experience was a highlight. Breakfast offered a wide choice and could easily be tailored to your personal taste. The evening restaurant menu had a great selection alongside tasty daily specials, all delivered with warm, friendly, and attentive service from the staff.
The Room (Annex - Room 9) was a good size and the bed was very comfortable, even if it was a little creaky when moving around.
A Note for Light Sleepers
The only real drawback was the soundproofing between floors, which could definitely be better. We had a very loud snorer in the room directly above us during our stay, which did detract a bit from our overall rest. I’d recommend packing a pair of earplugs just in case!
Despite the noise issue, the fantastic location, lovely staff, and quality food mean we would definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area.

Super Good location for exploring the Cotswolds. Large garden at side and rear. Lovely white bedding and big fluffy white towels with complimentary toiletries. Room had everything you need and was comfortable. Our room (room 2) was in need of a bit of tlc, nothing major but sash window seemed a bit wobbly when open, hotel door was a bit grubby and wall behind kettle was quite stained with splashes of tea/coffee. Could do with a coat of paint. Our room was quite noisy with road noise and from people talking loudly in the bar below. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. I have stayed here once before and I would stay again though may request a room at the back of the hotel.

We were in room 8 which is a large room with 2 very comfortable chairs and a settee. The bathroom was also large and very clean. The room is north facing with a large window which you can open which meant that it was very cool during the recent hot weather; there was also a tower fan as the building has no air conditioning. It is at the back of the building so there is no noise from the road. Breakfast was good and the staff are very polite and helpful. Highly recommended.

Convenient location in the Cotswolds and able to take a group of five friends in two rooms. Character-filled old and quirky inn. It was a heat wave while we were there but the rooms were quite comfortable with cross breezes and electric fans. The restaurant was hot though, so we opted for the pub in Barrington beside the river instead. Everything was clean and the staff were lovely. It’s a bit noisy beside the road, but not too bad. We were able to trickle charge our car overnight as well.

Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, clean room, very comfortable bed, shower was above the bath (not a dedicated cubical), excellent breakfast. Reasonably priced restaurant with a good range of quality food for your evening meal. We were only there for the one-nights stay visiting All Things Wild and Birdland.

What a fabulous place to stay! ample safe parking and lovely outdoor space to eat and drink. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything you could need. Had a few drinks in the bar, staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was superb and the gentleman running breakfast the morning we stayed was a true professional, an absolute credit to the hotel. Loved our stay and hope to return.
