Staff were very nice, obviously updating the place as well, Bar & Restaurant was superb. Room could do with some updating, but very comfortable and had everything we needed. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Plenty free parking as well.

Very dated corridors and stairs to room access, lots of small steps along corridors potential trip hazards. Stairs in the annex building were very awkward to negotiate. Poorly ventilated room with one window no A/C, no refrigerator…get what you pay for..

This hotel has a great soul but it is a little tired. The room was great and the bathroom was ok. I spent one night here after leaving Inverness as I used it because It was only an hour drive to the Edinburgh airport (I was driving there to drop off my rental car.) It was a 14 minute walk to downtown and I enjoyed the food at the restaurant/pub on site.

My full experience of the Lovat Hotel and the wonderful staff made me and my partners stay so much more enjoyable. So much so we have booked a three day stay at the beginning of August. The staff were super friendly and went out of there way to make our stay that little bit more special. Can't wait to go back.

Not great! Looks like a hotel that hasn’t been upgraded since the 70’s. I had to sleep with my duvet wrapped around me so that I didn’t feel the springs in the mattress. I will say that the two members of staff I came across were excellent, really pleasant, cheery and helpful.

Great hotel, just the shower didn’t drain very well and the pressure was weak.

This hotel is truly vile; it is dirty, poorly maintained and has an obnoxious smell throughout. The worst issue was undoubtedly BED BUGS! I spent one night there, got next to no sleep, and came away covered in welts on my skin where I had been bitten. In the morning there were small blood marks on the bedlinen where the bites had caused me to bleed. The bathroom light didn't work, the mixer-tap shower didn't mix (you could have hot or cold water, but not both!) and there was a large skylight in the ceiling, with no blind - so the room was flooded in daylight by 4.45am. Under no circumstances should you consider staying here.

Great hotel staff and restaurant

Room was nice and bed was comfy. The shower wasnt very good, no water pressure.

Clean room very dated and worn. Bed was the worst ive swept on, noisy and bumps.
