The beach view is totally totally amazing, the staff are so friendly and they keep the place very clean. The beach is it private beach? So there's not a lot of people on it. If you walk 5, not even 5 minutes up, the beach is where the water is smooth.. Everyone else that we had met were staying far away from the beach and had to take half hour to forty five minute drive to get there, whereas we were right on it. There's a constant steady breeze which can be refreshing. The pool and the hot tub are very clean and beautiful to swim in. There were a few people that had left their resort to come here over peace and quiet. The food is really good. This place is more like a little villa, very much like a pedem breakfast place. It is like a little piece of hidden paradise. My friend and I will definitely becoming back. Hey locals are so friendly. They also make really good pina coladas. My friend and I would break this place and 8.5 out of 10. We did not go all inclusive and saved ourselves almost $5,000. We were not obligated to stay on site.

Quiet, peaceful. Excellent breakfast

Rooms were great. Got a free upgrade because we were the only ones there for the back half of our trip. Very quiet and peaceful. Not a ton of food options but everything was good. Staff was very nice and accommodating. They have bottled water and bagged ice available whenever you need it. Great for a quick romantic getaway. 40 min from the airport. The beach the house is on is gorgeous and has a great 20ish minute walk to the end where there are caves you can wade out to. It’s a great surfing beach where you can take beginners lessons or go to the more advanced side with sizable waves. Management was great. Highly recommend staying here for a more peaceful all inclusive than the mega resorts. Will probably stay here again.

Everything stood out! As soon as you walk onto the resort you feel the vacation. Service is A+, room was very cozying and amazing. The views are so gorgeous I didn’t want to leave. The guests are all considerate and nice. Perfect resort for couples!

My stay was absolutely perfect. I wish I could have stayed longer. Safe location, private beach access just 500 feet walk. Quiet, peaceful, serene. The staff is so accommodating and make you feel so welcome and I dont know if i felt more like family or royalty there. I ate evey meal there. Very reasonable price. Jerry was so great every night-Very kind. The manager Sam is truly a great man and makes sure everyday you are having a great time and everything is perfect. He arranged safe transport to and from airport for me. Highly recommend this place. I usually like to travel to new places Ive never been but i really want to come back here.

Beautiful grounds with very friendly staff

This is an expensive hotel; the rating reflects the price-point. Photos of the hotel are way out of date. None of the rooms have a beach view, although you can hear waves in the distance. The hotel’s beach is not for lounging or swimming: it’s full of weeds, trash, and rocks. The manager advised us we could walk 10 minutes to the public beach to find an area for swimming, and we could rent a lounger there. We checked out the public beach; those loungers were filthy and crowded! There is a huge resort that has commandeered a large area of beach, and a lot of local vendors trying, fairly aggressively, to sell services or goods. The hotel rooms are clean, as are the pool and hot tub. The staff are friendly and try their best, but the front office was often closed. It often felt as if management couldn’t be bothered to be around. Communications were very challenging: phone calls and emails were never answered, and we could only ever get help via the Expedia message service. The restaurant menu is limited, but all the meals we tried were tasty and nicely presented; breakfast was very good. Our room was very dark during the day, and too light during the night, thanks to the type of shutters installed in the windows. Furnishings were adequate but could definitely be improved.

One of the best vacation experiences I’ve had. The place is beautiful, the staff is excellent, the food is great and the area is fun to explore.

If the loud, party atmosphere is not your jam, then Selectum Hacienda is for you. So quiet and serene. The staff is all very professional, kind and accommodating. The breakfast is a true feast. You are steps away from the beach or you can choose to relax poolside. This truly was what we needed.
