The room was spacious with a big bathroom, and access to a shared living room was an extra bonus. All of the staff were really friendly and the breakfast was great.

Very busy, definitely worth booking for your meal, the food was more Gastro Pub than normal but lovely none the less.
Great staff.
Quirky and old building with sloping floors.
Very nice bed in the bedroom.
Only slight downside is you can hear the bar etc downstairs until they close but if you are not an early to bed type of person its fine.
VERY little parking onsite but there is other parking in the village.

The food was excellent - both breakfast and evening meal.
Full fresh cooked breakfast included in the cost of the room. Proper Americano coffee served at no extra cost with breakfast! I had a glass of champagne with the evening meal and it was chilled, bubbly and perfect.

We were delayed to 9pm and were unable to get through on the phone to let the pub know, however, check in was OK when we got there. The room was very cold on arrival but warmed up in an hour after the heater was turned on.
It's a lovely pub and the room was nice, however, our room (called "Cannon", a premier room) was right over the bar, very noisy in the evening, and again in the morning with a very early delivery of clanking beer barrells.
Ask for a quiet room!!
