The houseboat itself was decent, but unfortunately our stay was ruined by several major issues. When we arrived, we found blood stains on the pillowcases, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness. Even worse, the main air conditioning was not working. It was over 90°F inside the houseboat, making it nearly impossible to stay inside comfortably. We repeatedly tried to contact the host for assistance, but never received a response. We even contacted Expedia, and they were unable to reach the host or property manager either, leaving us with no support during our stay. Another issue that isn’t mentioned in the listing is the strong smell of fish guts as soon as you step onto the dock. There is a fish cleaning station directly in front of the houseboat, and the odor was overwhelming throughout the area. Between the extreme heat, lack of communication from the host, and the constant fish smell, the experience became unbearable. We ultimately ended up sleeping in our car in the parking lot because the houseboat was simply too hot to stay in. I would not stay here again unless these issues are addressed and the host becomes responsive to guests.

Overall I would come back!

Planned and looked forward to our Key West trip. Although the location was ideal, the condition and amenities were very disappointing. Cleanliness, AC unit, wifi, not enforcing rules of neighbors boats, just disappointing and a lot of money not spent well.

The mattresses were so comfortable! They supplied everything we needed. The house was clean but the floors could have been vacuumed and mopped better! By going barefoot, we had to wipe our feet off to get in bed. We didn't get to try the restaurant, it didn't open till 11. We would have had breakfast every morning if it opened earlier. Most everyone was gone before 11 though!

This property offers a unique experience while staying in Key West. The lodges were nicely appointed and roomy for a couple who like a different kind of holiday. We will definitely return in the future.

My stay at Aqua Lodges at Hurricane Hole Marina was not terrible, but it definitely was not what I expected. The location has potential and the area is nice, however, on the day we were leaving I noticed bed bugs in the room. After discovering them, I immediately contacted the host. They told me that their inspection did not show any evidence of bed bugs, but I sent them photos as proof and I am still waiting for a response or proper resolution. I think it is important for future guests to be aware of this experience before booking.

Very comfortable accommodations. Quiet. Rarely could we feel the boathouse rocking in the water. Remember that this is a working marina - fish smell is subtle, watch for fish being cleaned and thrown as you walk along the dock. Good value for the price.

Dust was bad on back of tv’s, no staff on site bar and parking was good

Beautiful location, quick reply when you contact them. The bar and restaurant were so nice!! We would definitely stay again.

Great stay better than we expected
