The Titanic House

When we pulled up to the Titanic House, I had a moment of doubt, but that was completely swept away by our wonderful host Yusuf who escorted us to our room which was so much bigger and more comfortable than anyplace we have stayed in Turkey so far. And we have stayed in a bunch of hotels! If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay which is super convenient to Hierapolis and the travertines, look no further. The breakfast was fantastic, the AC worked great, it was clean...five stars in all categories! It is more like staying in an Airbnb since Yusuf lives next door. There is a market and lots of restaurants within a short walk.

It was very close to the travertine's. The cleanliness was pretty poor, mouldy bathrooms. The toilet needed a good scrub. The walls in the bathroom needed a good clean.. The curtains are not block out and the ones in the lounge room did not fit the balcony door so people could see in. The TV is not a smart TV so unless you understand Turkish there's no point using it. They provide a kettle but no cups or cutlery or plates or anything. No microwave only a small fridge. The caretaker was excellent. He was so so good but the actual owners or the people that run the business were terrible. There are no extra pillows or towels or blankets available the whole place. You get one of everything. No daily housekeeping provided. Breakfast was provided by the amazing man who worked there but we were not told under our booking that it was covered so we didn't actually get to eat there.

This place was NOTHING as described in listing. Building appeared to be under construction-at least I hope it was as it was missing part of the roof and front doors. Linens on bed were dirty and towels had actual holes in them. Large holes. They also felt like sandpaper which I can only hope that it was because they were hand washed and air dried. Hopefully they were washed. The rug in one of the rooms looked like it came out of a horse stable, it was filthy. Absolutely no plates, cups or cutlery in the “kitchen” which is just a sink! No stove, no microwave. One lonely kettle that has had much better days as it was covered with calcifications from water. I did not use it. Many mosquitos inside, WiFi did not work. We booked for 2 nights and left within a few hours because we couldn’t stay there any longer. Honestly, don’t stay here. It’s not good. I don’t know if the past good reviews are from delusional people or if they are fake because I don’t see how anyone would be pleased with this place. You’re better off camping in a tent.

Yes.The location of the hotel was very good. Some items,towels and bed linens were not new but clean

Spacious apartment

The owner Jusuf is very friendly and accommodating. The property is a bit on the old-fashioned side - really an older Turkish apartment without a kitchen. A pleasant stay.

Minimal accommodation with ample room. Good location for access to the travertines. Clean, and the host was welcoming. Market nearby for supplies.
