Don't have much time in Jaipur but still want to experience the best of the city? This one and a half hour walking tour with an English speaking guide will take you to the most significant cultural areas of this vivid city and allow you to get a better look at its culture and locals. From where you'll meet your guide, your first destination is the Hawa Mahal, an incredible edifice built in red and pink sandstone and designed with breathtaking architectural style. This is followed by a visit to a century old sword shop where you'll see ancient weaponry and blades, and you'll get to study these old armaments. You'll also visit a local antique market full of charming items and even 150 year old cameras—definitely a flea market aficionado's dream. Then you'll head to Bhatton Ki Gali, a location where the ancient royal priests resided. The area is also full of old houses, giving you a glimpse into the architectural style of the time period. Then you head to the City Palace Chokh, and here you can get that perfect panoramic photograph of the city for your memories. Then you head to a famous UNESCO World Heritage site, the Jantar Mantar, a collection of astronomical instruments, including a gigantic, gnomon that's been designed parallel to the Earth's axis. Don't forget to have a look at the old market as you go, see some museums, and the old buildings that Jaipur is so famous for. You then head to the Swargsuli Tower, rising head and shoulders above other the historic buildings, and the tallest of the historical sites in the city. You'll learn more about local religion and spirituality with a visit to the Shiva Temple and the Krishna Temple, which has been maintained by the same family for 8 generations and counting. Your tour finally ends at the retro-styled surroundings of the Golcha Cinema.

C'était une visite à pied incroyable lorsque nous avons visité la ville de Jaipur. Dhananja était un très bon guide touristique et un beau garçon indien. Il a été poli et nous a protégés lorsque nous avons traversé la route, puis il a dit "Détendez-vous". Cela nous a fait nous sentir calmes à cause de nombreuses voitures sur la route. Il nous a recommandé un bon magasin Chai et nous a clairement expliqué l'histoire de Jaipur bien que la première fois nous n'ayons pas compris son anglais (accent indien) mais il parlait lentement et c'était facile à écouter. Nous nous sommes amusés et avons eu un nouvel ami pour ce voyage.
Saket et Ayush - deux guides touristiques locaux étaient des gars enthousiastes et drôles. Ils ont marché avec moi en visitant divers sites historiques, architecturaux et religieux, y compris des maisons anciennes à Jaipur pour comprendre les héritages célèbres, plus de connaissances sur l'hindouisme et une partie de la vie quotidienne dans la ville rose. Ces endroits sont devenus plus intéressants avec quelques histoires introuvables sur Internet mais partagées par les hommes locaux. Sur la promenade, ils m'ont également invité à essayer des collations indiennes qui sont croustillantes, utilisées avec une sauce aigre et épicée, des gâteaux d'offrandes au Dieu. Je recommande vivement aux touristes de faire ce tour. Pour la prochaine fois, s'il y en a, j'aimerais participer à leur tournée gastronomique.
Grande visite avec des informations locales sur la vieille ville. Aayush était très instructif et s'est mis en quatre pour offrir une expérience mémorable. Je le recommande vivement !
Le guide ne s'est pas présenté à l'heure et a attendu sur place pendant plus d'une heure. Bien que j'aie essayé de le contacter et lui ai proposé de faire à nouveau compensation le lendemain, il était impossible de continuer car l'itinéraire devait aller dans la ville suivante .
