Nagaoka Fireworks Festival
  • Since 1951, Nagaoka has held a fireworks festival on August 2nd and 3rd every year to commemorate the victims of the air raid and pray for the local recovery.
  • The "Three-foot Jade" fireworks have a diameter of 650 meters, the largest size to date, and a fireworks bridge that blooms densely like a waterfall, which is magnificent.
  • The "Resurgence Prayer Fireworks Phoenix" symbolizing revival was launched from 6 locations simultaneously. The fireworks, like a phoenix spreading its wings, illuminated the night sky, bringing unparalleled visual shock and emotion

If you are attending a fireworks display in Japan for the first time, please refer to the following suggestions:

  • The fireworks display will be very crowded after the event. You may not be able to leave the venue until late at night. Please wait patiently in your car.
