We had a wonderful stay at Fukiya. The property is beautiful - a classic upscale Japanese Ryokan. The service was over the top. The entire staff was wonderful and gave us care beyond any experience we have had anywhere else, and the food and baths were wonderful. We highly recommend it.

Incredible. Setsuko-san and the rest of the staff were amazing. The ryokan is beautiful and peaceful. Meals were among the best I’ve ever had, and they were so accommodating with my picky kids. The onsen are wonderful. Seriously, we can’t wait to come back.

Absolutely everything was beyond perfect. Kind wonderful and understanding staff. And so very helpful. The ryokan was beautiful and we had a lot of needs with a large group and they were all attended to. Would absolutey book again.

The property was a hidden gem. The staff, the service, the facilities, the food were excellent. We were upgraded as we realised on arrival that it would be difficult for us to sleep on futons. They were very accommodating to our needs. A little bit far from Hakone but worth the distance. Can’t recommend enough

Incredible experience as the hostess (Seito or Seiko) was very helpful and engaging. She used a translator which made everything English friendly. Dinner and breakfast were so delicious and fulfilling. The hostess even reserved the best hot spring with a view for me. One night was worth it!
