The XYM Hotel

Clean room, cold AC, clean bathroom, sheets were clean, bed not too hard, TP for the westerners, 2 bottled waters were nice. Breakfast was a bit of a joke for 500 baht. But, affordable breakfast that is delicious is just across the street. Everybody has been westerner fel-lang friendly except my LineMan driver. A+ stay. Enjoyed the shaded tables by the door, a 7/11 cold brew, and a smoke. Slept 10.5 hours after a 40-hour international commute and I'm still going on a bus another 6.5 hours. That sleep was OH SO VERY NEEDED. THANK YOU!

In many ways of very nice place, but some oddities, like the thermostat cannot be set below 20°C

The room itself was nice, get a studio with the balcony, helpful if you're there for a minute and want to air dry laundry outside. Plus just nice to have the balcony. Staff was helpful when asked for things. Coffee available downstairs in the lobby in the morning. 2 bottles of water in the room each day. Laundry available on the 2nd floor, 2 washers, 1 dryer. Buy some laundry soap at the 7-11 downstairs (can be had for as little as about 5baht per packet of soap). Dryer finished part way through as it's on an auto setting and can't be changed, clothes were still very wet. Skip the dryer and just air dry. Location is ok. 2.5km from the airport, so we actually just walked. Close to the airport mall, which has tons of food options on the ground floor, along with a Tops grocery store. 7-11 is basically attached to the hotel. Across the street is a night market with food stalls. Old city is about a 30min walk. My big gripe was around the pool terrace on the 5th floor. We had booked a room ahead of time, mostly because of the pool. When we arrived, there was a sign up stating the pool was closed. Asked the front desk guy and he says it's closed for several weeks. Had notice been given, plans would have changed, so that was a big bummer. Especially with as warm as it was, we were really wanting to use the pool. The entire roof terrace was closed along with the pool, so couldn't even make use of that.

The room was in good condition, but we booked this hotel specifically because it had a pool & when we checked in it was closed for Renovations. We did not have any luck with any of the front desk staff speaking English, so it was challenging to communicate. We checked out after 2 days

Clean room, helpful staff, great location

Housekeeping left our room unlocked while we were out, very disappointed by this leaving our belongings unsafe. The back of the room opens on to an alley and is very loud and smells bad.

This place is so fantastic. I enjoyed staying here and plan to stay multiple times. I really recommend.

Mall nearby. Grab was the best way into old town. 7-11 store was convenient. The cafe should serve more breakfast type items.

This room was definitely lacking

A great place, close to the old city, and the airport. Clean, brilliant staff.
