APA Hotel Hakata Gion Ekimae

Good location. Entrance to Gion Metro is 35 steps from the front door. On returning use exit 5 but keep in mind the steps are very steep. Accommodations are APA standard, very small rooms and modest Japanese breakfast buffet is a good value. I've stayed here before and will come back on my next trip.

The hotel is extremely conveniently located right next to Gion station, which is easy to get to from Hakata station. It's also quick and easy to walk to Hakata station from the hotel too. The hotel provides a good amount of amenities, and clean towels each day. The room has everything you need, including lots of hooks to hang items. The hotel does have a washer, but I chose to use a coin laundry that was a short walk away as I know the machines in these hotels generally take a long time to dry. The area has lots of food options, and is walking distance to several things. I had an incident where I had lost an item in the airport, and had been asked to call them the next day to see if it was located. The gentleman at the front desk helped with calling the number I was provided and talking to the lost and found there. They were unable to locate my item, but I appreciated the assistance. The only negative I experienced was that under the bed was not clean at all. It was very dusty, and there was some dropped sweets from other previous guests under there. Normally, I wouldn't notice this but I had dropped something under the bed so I did end up noticing this. I would ask that the hotel look at cleaning under the bed on occasions to avoid this. This didn't really effect my stay, so I would not rate the hotel less overall for this.

Small but very practical room, well designed for a short stay. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Hakata Gion, with easy access to the metro and the train station. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. Great value for money considering the location.

I have stayed APA hotel Osaka, Kyoto, and Yokohama but this has not equipped with a hot spring facility.

I had a wonderful stay at APA hotel in Gion Fukuoka. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, with a relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after a long day. I would gladly stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent hospitality.
