Intercityhotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

The room was very spacious and the bathroom was very clean. The shower was a little confusing because there were 2 shower heads, 1 for hand and 1 overhead. Getting the temperature and water coming out was a challenge! 😁

Clean, new, conveniently located hotel near airport. Very pleased.

The breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the location is convenient, especially if you’re traveling by train, as it’s close to the station. The hotel shuttle to Schiphol Airport was useful, but the information provided was somewhat unclear. I was informed that the shuttle costs €5 per person, but it was not mentioned that taxes were charged in addition to this fee. The staff was helpful whenever assistance was needed, although I found the service somewhat impersonal and lacking warmth. The bed was also disappointing, as the mattress was quite saggy and could benefit from being replaced. Overall, the hotel has several positive aspects, particularly its cleanliness, breakfast, and location, but there is room for improvement in communication, customer service, and room comfort.

We arrived before check in, but we were able to get right in our room. So nice after a long flight! We chose the hotel due to its proximity to the train station and airport. Also walkable to stretch our legs and find dinner in the city center of Hoofddorp. This was our 2nd stay at an Intercity Hotel and we were impressed with both.

My third stay at the Inter City and I’m truly sad to say it was unpleasant. A far cry from previous stays. a. From being pointedly ignored at the bar, with a drunken guest belching over my wife. Other guests being served over us and a reluctant and snide apology when we complained; b. The corridor in front of our room was dirty when we arrived with disused surgical plaster wraps and fluff on the carpet, when we arrived on Friday night and still there on Monday morning. We complained about this on Sunday and now in keeping with what seems to be the trend, nothing was done. I shall single out the young blonde receptionist who was markedly friendly, attentive and efficient. In contrast to some of her colleagues. c. I cannot speak for other guests but the standard we had gotten used to and enjoyed on previous visits (2023/2024) was absent. Previously, we had greatly enjoyed the amenities and friendly staff. We shall not return and while the hotel may not miss our business, I guess we can exercise our right to enjoy two good services and courtesy, where we are spending our money.

Everything was good

Straighforward mid-range hotel, very well maintained, comfortable rooms, bar and restaurant open quite late. Helpful staff with manned front desk. Well presented buffet breakfast. In the middle of nowhere, but there is a shuttle bus to and from the airport every 30 minutes which takes 10 minutes, so you just need to time for that and then transport on from Schiphol.

We stayed a total of 6 nights and really enjoyed our time there. The hotel is well maintained and it was very close to the train station which worked out perfectly. Breakfast was good. My only suggestion there is to not to put out so much hot food at once. It would be better to put out less more frequent to maintain the quality. The variety was very good and we would certainly stay here again.
