Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao

It is in great location. We booked this hotel because it has a tennis court. Unfotunately that court is not operated by the hotel and we have to walk in to book the court and pay 400yuan per hour for the count. Facility is great! Location is also convenient by taxing Didi.

Obviously Hilton is only interested in Chinese travelers now, no room service menu you in room, they ask you turn on TV then find the in room dining, then scan a QR code that only works with the Chinese version of WeChat. Went downstairs for food instead , was told last call so went to ask the desk to ask what was open, was directed to another Japanese restaurant, who then walked me back into the place i was told was closing, clearly they have forgotten customer service, raised it with the duty manager but went to back to room unfed, obviously don’t want the business

Breakfast was good. Room was clean and big but a little old

Amazing property and wonderful staff especially housekeeping staff. We were pampered at this hotel with excellent customer service and hospitality! Well done and highly recommended!

Everything is great except for the air conditioning, it did not work. We were provided a temporary AC unit but it did not work much better.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this location. I thought Hilton could never go wrong; however, this location really disappointed me. First, the WiFi was a joke. I could not even load a picture on WeChat with the WiFi. If you are planning to stay here for a business trip and need to connect to the internet to get your work done. Good luck. Second, the temperature in the room was not adjustable. I woke up few times in the middle of the night because it was too hot! When I complained to the hotel, I was told to open the window for cool air. ?!?! Okay. If I open the window for better circulation, I need to have the curtain open. The room would be hot from the sun during day time. Or you want to sleep with the window and curtain opened?? They offered a cooling fan at the beginning but later was told that they run out of it (which I believe I was not the only complaining). The next day, they said they might be able to get me one after other guests check out and would send to my room. But NOTHING when I went back to the room. I had to complain again for them to offered me to change to a room on the other side of the building with less sun exposure. And they FINALLY get me a cooling fan. And how funny to see a mini fan in a hotel like Hilton. There are many good hotels out there. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR A COMFORT STAY.
