The property is showing its age. We arrived late in the evening, and the first impression wasn’t particularly welcoming. The lobby was dimly lit, which made the atmosphere feel gloomy, and the receptionist was coughing heavily throughout check-in. Altogether, it felt less like arriving at a hotel and more like walking into an old haunted house, or stepping into the opening scene of a movie. No joke.

Very Edwardian look but first class rooms. Staff brilliant and very helpful. Especially the waiting staff in the restaurant. We arrived at 20:40 all hungry I asked if the kitchen was still serving and was told yes till 21:00. Got into the restaurant at 20:55, the manager and waiter were both friendly and served us happily. Cleaners were all very nice.

The location of the hotel was amazing. Close walk to many sites and lots of restaurants. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was amazing.

Had a good visit but disappointed with room cleaning staf 2 days out of my 3 the room was not serviced coffee cups not cleaned bins in bathroom not emptied and curtesy tray not replenish . Must say breakfast was outstanding
