Nice staff

The only positives about the Asiatic Hotel in Queens were that the room was clean, the location was convenient and the rice porridge. Unfortunately, those positives were overshadowed by a serious accessibility issue. I booked this hotel because the booking site indicated that it offered accessible accommodations. Before my stay, I also requested handicap accommodations. Despite that, the hotel was unable to provide the accessibility I needed. If a property is advertised as accessible, guests should be able to rely on that information. My experience did not match what was represented on the booking site, and it created unnecessary stress and difficulty during my stay. If you have a disability or require accessible accommodations, I strongly recommend confirming in writing exactly what accessible features will be available before you book. Based on my experience, I would not consider this hotel disability-friendly. While the room was clean and the location was excellent, those positives did not outweigh the disappointment of arriving to find that my accessibility needs could not be met.

The hotel has great AC, basic amenities, and includes a very general breakfast. Just what we needed.
