Sakura Hotel Hatagaya

The room was very dirty from sheets to the bathroom. There was a weird smell from the start of our stay. And they started to paint the hotel which gave me and my partner a horrible headache. There were stains on the shower curtain and the wall next to our bed.

All staff were very helpful, didn’t realise we were getting breakfast so bonus there , only toast juice and tea/coffee but that was fine. Close to train station and some nice eating close by.

The room felt small, but we were also overpacked. The Japanese style room was very cool to stay in. Everything we needed was in the room.

Staff very friendly and very helpful, good eigo (english), they are very coherent, good communication was present. Hotel room best you'll find in the Hatagaya Area. Would highly recommend to folks back home.👍

The room is super clean. The staff is super friendly spoke very good English. Very helpful and always on top of everything. Breakfast is very basic. I didn’t eat there. Laundry facility was OK. The dryers are kind of broken. I only found one that worked took me forever to dry my clothes, but other than that, I had an excellent day and I really enjoyed the staff.

The breakfast menu with very basic just bread and soup and coffee tea. It was OK I didn’t eat it. The staff was super nice really friendly spoke pretty good English always on top of everything. Laundry facility was OK. It took forever to dry my clothes. the drawers don’t work that well. The room was clean very clean and we got fresh towels every day.

The staff was very helpful and nice. The rooms were spotless and the air conditioning worked fantastic. The shower was small but manageable. It was a quiet area, we slept great. The breakfast at least for us was not great, we needed more food. Overall, we would stay there again.

Sleeping area was better than hard tatami beds but not full western mattress. If you love firm mattresses you will definitely love them. Free breakfast was only toast tea and coffee, but family mart is conveniently at the exit and easy access to subway trains. Personally I’d book again due to its commodity, not much but not little.

Hotel is nicely located just a five minute walk from Hatagaya Station, giving you good access to the rest of the city. The surrounding neighborhood is cozy with a couple convenience store just steps out the front door. A shot walk also to Yoyogi Park and a couple of lovely shrines. The front desk staff was ever present and courteous. The free breakfast mostly consists of coffee, tea, juice, and some toast with butter and jam. Enough to get you started on your day. We stayed in the “Japanese style” room. It’s comfortable and utilitarian with a small kitchenette. You are susceptible to outside noise from trucks and other passerby’s from behind the building but otherwise, a good base for active sights. All in all, a good value proposition.
