I don’t write hotel reviews much anymore but we absolutely loved Hotel Chamar. We love to walk, so we didn’t mind being a little farther from some of the main attractions. In fact, we really enjoyed staying in a quieter, more peaceful area with more locals around. We would definitely stay at Hotel Chamar again and we’d love to spend even more time exploring the local restaurants and Montmartre, where we went for a morning walk every day. The hotel itself was wonderful. The beds and linens were incredibly comfortable and the breakfast was perfect. We also really appreciated the filtered water and snacks left out for guests throughout the day. No one seemed to mind that I would sneak downstairs for a good cup of coffee while my husband slept before breakfast started, which I really appreciated. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and welcoming. We later moved on to London and stayed at a much more expensive hotel and all I could think about was how many thoughtful amenities Hotel Chamar had that we missed at the next place.

Great hotel, awesome staff

Cute little boutique hotel in great area of town. Close to all the Montmarte restaurants and shops. Staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and spoke English. My teenagers loved the welcome croissants and pain au chocolates in the lobby whenever we came and went. Only a few small complaints….we had a few lights out and outlets that didn’t work in the bathroom and the pillows could be better. Other than that a lovely boutique hotel!

Couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Ideal location in a quaint part of town with nearby restaurants and close to more lively pockets of the neighborhood. The hotel is nestled between three different metro stops so it was easy to get around. The breakfast spread was impressive and the amenities were thoughtful. I ended up extending my time in Paris and was sad they were all booked up after my original stay dates - I’ll be back next time I’m in Paris for sure.
