The hotel is in an odd location that is both very central and slightly off the beaten path. Everything is at least 15 minutes away but nothing is really far. From the island you have views of the other parts of the city in all directions. The island is well connected to the Gamla Stan and Djurgarden by boat, and to the train station by bus, but there aren't a lot of amenities on the island itself. The rooms had excellent light, were spotless and spacious. Good breakfast. The buildings are historic but there is something odd about feeling like you are in a boutique hotel when you are in your room, and l feeling that you are in a navy barracks when you step into the hall. The island is peaceful and quiet with one caveat: the noise from the Gröna Lund amusement park sometimes carries over to the island, but this is only until 10pm.

Excellent staff & location

A delightful hotel to stay at in Stockholm if you're looking for something a bit different. It was so nice to stay on one of the smaller islands with plenty of nature around, so many goslings in May! We travelled mostly on foot & ferry, the ferry a quick & simple option to get to the Old Town & where the museums are. We didn't have to do this, but if it is quiet you may have to press the button at the ferry stop to call it. The staff were all polite & helpful, the breakfast had plenty of options & the grounds were so pretty. Would happily stay here again.

I had an excellent 5 night stay in the Deluxe Double room. This is one of those places that you feel sad leaving... Everything was perfect and I hope to return.

Staff super friendly and attentive. Could benefit from a dedicated bar area. Breakfast very good and restaurant food nice too. Plentiful parking. Bus service directly outside hotel into main areas around Stockholm although only a ten minute walk into centre. Overall very pleasant stay.

Property is in a quiet location that is accessible to museums and shopping by public transportation. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was amazing the entire time. Everyone was helpful and accommodating.

Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay with excellent area recommendations, reserving transportation to airport, and even providing to-go breakfast for early morning departure--thank you!

Once again there - a lovely building in a wonderful location. Superb food and very friendly staff
