The hotel is a perfect location … very old and quaint. However needs some upgrading and maintenance. Similar to a hostel …but clean sheets and duvet / so perfect. If you are looking for someplace close and walkable to city center - and only use your room to sleep - perfect.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed by the level of service throughout my visit. The canal view is beautiful. The hotel is conveniently situated near restaurants, shops, and local attractions, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area without hassle. Highly recommend!

Loved the room ambience and the location. The bathroom desperately needs updating. Tile and grout is worn out which makes it feel unclean. Staff were great. Did not eat breakfast at hotel.

Great location - very walkable to most of the places we wanted to see/visit. Very nice staff. Rooms were ok - a little dated but clean enough and our canal view was amazing.

The hotel is a in a great location. Aesthetically the hotel is quite quaint and charming. The staff are top notch. The breakfast was good, no complaints. The wifi was excellent. For all this it would get five stars. Now for the not so good. I chose the only room available and that is the one with the bunk beds. On this website it had three photos that were a little deceiving. I can guarantee is is worse than the photos. The bunk beds are from the 60's with metal springs. The window looks out onto a sloped roof so you see nothing. The bathroom was mouldy but functional. If you book a room here book anything but this room. The other rooms are what you want. For the amount I paid, I expected more. The room itself gets a 1 star at best. Now, I have to take some blame for choosing this room, I saw the three photos and that should have been my hint to move on. When I see the other rooms, they look so much better. Bottom line don't book the room with the bunk beds.

The bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect. No bells and whistles to it. Just the name says it all. House Hotel. Very pricey. Would I stay there again. YES🤔
