Holiday Inn Express London Chingford by IHG

The staff was so kind and helpful. For example, I’m American, so I didn’t understand why the switches weren’t working, so they explained the little card slot to me. They were also super kind and made me a pizza even though the kitchen was closed for dinner, since I got lost trying getting back in time. The breakfast was pretty good (i miss my pancakes lol), the room was clean, and it was very close by to a couple bus stations so not too far a walk. With the grocery store right behind it was easy to get anything I needed that I had forgotten. :)<3

Everything was good

Room was tired and a bit shabby with a few dubious stains on the sofa. Breakfast was OK but the "fruit juices" were terrible.

Breakfast was fresh and well cooked. Plenty of choices.

It was a decent place to stay. It was very “out of the way”.

We booked way in advance so we got good rates, for the service and central location close to grocery store it is amazing, steps away from a church, couldn't ask for a better experience. Only concern is the noise from the people on the street who were talking and smoking like the windows were not noise proof. At times it seemed like the people were actually talking in the same room. Kinda creepy.

I won’t be going to this hotel or any other holiday inn express again because of this hotel room. I’m surprised holiday inn want to put their name to these kind of hotels as I’ve stayed in normal holiday inns and they have all been lovely. The hotel staff were nice and the food was ok. BUT our room was actually disgusting!! The walls, floors and base of the bed were filthy! It looked like someone had been sick down the side of the bed!! There was a sofa bed in the room which was also dirty and the chair provided was disgusting with dirt and stains all over it!! The tv was broke!! Mold marks all round the base of the shower! The room was freezing and felt like there was draft and sound coming through even when window was closed. The heater didn’t work, just blew cold air out of it! I’m glad we had only booked one night to stay here! Like I say the staff were nice and pleasant. And the food was ok but our actual room where we had to spend our time and sleep in was awful. There was also no main light in the room and one of the bedside lights didn’t work, so was dark and cold and dirty! Overall awful! Only didn’t give the lowest I could because of the nice staff and ok food.

Good place to stay staff were brilliant with me being disabled and in a wheelchair they were very considerate nothing was to much trouble would recommend it anytime.
