A below average and disappointing stay. Bed sheets not put on beds properly meaning mattress exposed. Toilet absolutely filthy dirty - no excuse. Felt like a hotel that was probably quite nice 10 years ago but has lost its way. Wouldn't return.

The guy at the checkin desk/bar (yes they're one and the same) was great. However, beware, they say they do 24/7 food. The weekday menu and weekend menus differ - and I quote the manager here "we have a diminished menu on the weekends." When we visited it was so diminished the only option was pizza. When you're hungry you'll take what you can get. Don't rely on the hotel for food.

Clean and well proportioned room. Well stocked bar. Right in the centre of town, but far enough away from the bars and nightlife that it doesn't impact your stay.

The third time staying at this hotel in the last 18 months and my room last night was certainly the most tired (room 606). The air-conditioning never really works effectively in any room we’ve had. Even set to 16° and high fan. I think it’s more air circulation than proper air-conditioning. The receptionist brought a fan to the room. One of the plug sockets next to the bed did not work. One of the lights in the bathroom did not work. The tea mugs in the room were stained with use. The toilet bowl was stained. The fabric on the desk seat had worn through exposing the wooden frame. The footstool had a cigarette burn on it. The TV didn’t work properly. You could watch a channel for a few seconds then it would freeze and you couldn’t do anything with the TV apart from turn it off. The paintwork in the room was generally scuffed. The Wi-Fi is only about 4mbps so you can’t really do very much with it. All in all, the hotel is looking pretty tired and the rooms need some renovation. On the positive side, Laszlo who checked me in and organised the fan was very helpful. The breakfast has been good on every occasion we’ve stayed and the breakfast team this morning were super friendly

Nice look but let down by the details. Shower gel hadn’t been refilled, cheap tea/coffee, very average breakfast, air con not working (and not fixed when asked), towels small and rough, plug socket by bed was loose and didn’t work. It was cheap so I don’t think we necessarily overpaid, we just felt that they were trying to do boutique hotel vibes but actually delivering ibis budget if you look past the decor - I’d personally prefer to know what I’m getting, this was just a bit disappointing.

Quirky hotel, well located. A little worn around the edges in places, darkest room
corridors i’ve ever seen and maybe 1 too many hairs found in shower, sink and glassware. Also no clothes / towel hooks! Overall it was a comfortable and pleasant stay for what we needed and I’d likely stay again!
