Clean room, staff was helpful. Easy to use amenities. Great location, near bunch of breakfast spots. And shopping. Very close to beach. The pool area was really nice too

Location is what this place has. The room was average. The food was average. If you've never been to a real resort, I guess you could call this place a resort. Otherwise, it's a hotel at the beach, that's it.

Pool

The hotel was perfectly situated opposite Waikiki beach and the rental of beach items well received as we spent most of our time there. The hotel is beautifully maintained and the staff are typically Hawai’i n in their laid back, kind and helpful approach. The aquarium and its upkeep in the lobby was an added bonus and the bar area a nice place to have a drink. Our room was large for myself and my two children aged 19/20. And I loved our balcony overlooking both the city, the beach and the beautiful misty mountains. If I had one issue it was the bar charges, inconsistent and one time charged $11 for one beer and then charged $38 for two beers. I always had the same drink but didn’t pick this up on my bank statements until I got home. So check what you are being charged. I loved the location, nearer the zoo end, as a bit quieter but with a 3-4 min walk you are into the main stretch. I would recommend the hotel to families and single travellers as there is enough going on at the hotel but it doesn’t feel like an 18-30 type place. I would sum it up as a modern, sophisticated beach side hotel with a lot going on if you choose. I wish we had more time there. The Hawaiian people are wonderful. I hope we’ll be back one day.

Great location and good customer service

Perfect location for walking to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. The pool is nice. There's a little restaurant connected. The hotel is really nice. The room seem dated compared to the lobby, but it was clean and we weren't there to stay in the room all day.

Second year in a row staying here. Very convenient location and resort offers all that you need.

Not 5 star by any means. Rooms were nice (basic). Shower drips 24x7, toilet flush is so dramatic it can wake everyone on the floor, doors are so heavy that you cant sneak out of a room without a huge 'clunk'. If its windy, there is no Breakfast restaurant, as the Swell Bar becomes uncomfortable to remain at. Not enough pool recliners (we went to the pool 4x during our stay and never once managed to grab a seat, there's no monitoring of people who have towels on the chairs but are not actually at the pool). Pro's: Great location. Comfy beds.
