Clean room. Decent Breakfast. Friendly staff.

Driftwood bar was excellent- atmosphere was great and staff very attentive. Buffet breakfast had a very wide range of options and plenty of supplies. Retro decor was Soviet industrial era and was quirky and fun. Housekeeping was also top rate.Location was easy walk to Ximen station and general surroundings felt safe and friendly.

The breakfast buffet was absolutely insane, I don't know how common

Stylish and comfortable

Only friendly person we ran into was our housekeeper.

The room was just ok. It felt very damp and humid inside. It def needed maintenance to fix the hole in the wall, the toilet area needed some touch up. Now the staff at the front desk weren’t very welcoming and had a mad face. Check in wasn’t until exactly at 3 on the dot and there was a line since nobody was allowed to check in earlier. We flew over 12 hrs to Taiwan since I have a lot of Taiwanese tourists that visit our country in the states and we’ve always welcomed them and was hoping we would get the same warm greeting in return. I was told I could check out at 2pm by the lady since I am an Expedia VIP member. I approached a different man with an angry face to see if I could pay to stay til 4pm. He told me to book it through Agoda instead of trying to help me extended at the property and they wouldn’t have to pay the 3rd party commission. I understand how hotel industry work because I’ve been a part of one for over 24 years. I ended up paying over $250 usd to check out at 3:50pm. I felt the price wasn’t fair, but I’m on vacation and needed to be comfortable with my 3 kids instead of waiting in the lobby at 11am after check out time. Now on to the keys, we forgot our key card in the room and asked for another one. The man made me a 3rd key and asked me to return all 3 at check out. However, the next day they cancelled our keys and we had to return the 3rd one immediately. I understand keys are expensive, but they really didn’t have to penny pinch everything.

Room is exactly as described. I appreciate the open areas for the guests to use. Hotel staff/concierge was really helpful. I love the laundry room! My only comment and suggestion would be to please inform guests and add signs on the laundry room dryers to please remove the lint in the lint trap after use. This is probably why the machines "overheat" and have a burning smell (as per the notice in the room). Dryer lint is highly flammable if it is not cleaned out of the dryer. There are no signs to inform guests of this. This will also help the dryers be more efficient. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely book here again when I return to Taipei. Thank you!

Fast internet and great location. Room was super clean.

Great location and great staff. Hotel amenities are excellent. The rooms are the problem. Very small and the mattresses are uncomfortable to the point that you can’t get a good nights sleep.
