DoubleTree by Hilton St. Augustine Historic District

There were many items that spoiled our stay. The pool was dirty with bugs. The spa had sand on the flooring. There were caterpillars in the elevator on several instances. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was very low, making it difficult to shave. There was no microwave in the room. The drawers were small. The fan didn't seem to work in the bathroom. After breakfast, there was no coffee available except the small Keurig in the room. Usually when we travel, a hotel would hold $75-$100 on our card for incidentals. This hotel held $375 (5 day stay x $75 per day). Not a good experience. We left 1 day early. We would like a refund of $185 from Expedia.

From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, Allen made our stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Historic St. Augustine truly unforgettable. In a world where exceptional customer service can be hard to find, Allen reminded us what genuine hospitality looks like. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to go above and beyond made us feel welcomed, valued, and cared for every step of the way. It was clear that this isn’t just a job for him—it’s his passion. He serves people with a joyful heart, and it shows in every interaction. Allen treated every guest with warmth, respect, and genuine compassion. He took the time to make sure our family had everything we needed, always with a smile and a positive attitude. His leadership and dedication are a true reflection of excellence, and he is an incredible asset to the DoubleTree team. Thank you, Allen, for making our stay so special. You were truly the greatest gift of our visit to St. Augustine, and because of your outstanding hospitality, we will absolutely be back. May God continue to bless you as you bless so many others through your servant’s heart.

We visited the historic district and the hotel was across the street from a hop on-hop off trolley. Nice hotel. Had dinner there one evening and coffee every morning.

The check-in clerk was pleasant and efficient. The property was clean and well maintained.

Beautiful hotel that was clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely to interact with. And the hotel is within walking distance to many of the historic st. Augustine attractions that it was a lovely spot to center of visit from. Would definitely stay again. Also the cookies at check in were amazing.

Very nice

I liked the hotel it was clean and we had everything we needed but wish location would have been closer to historic location where fort and shooing was located. Staff wasn’t extra helpful like didn’t ask or give us any information and we could have used someone to be a little more helpful, He seemed busy and distant but other than that it was a good stay.

The property is outdated and not well kept. Parking is an additional fee and the breakfast is $17 per person for continental type food.

Nice hotel, great location and friendly staff! Travelled with my wife and my two 7-year old twin daughters and had a great time.
