The food is horrible, in the buffet and the restaurants. In order to get our room cleaned we had to ask the butler and then he would send someone. We had the “VIP package” and this gave us access to the adult only pool which was dirty throughout our entire stay it had like a yellow oil dirt on the side. The staff all looked over worked, the servers, the chef. They only opened 2 restaurants per night and even close the buffet some nights. Our butler made our stay as comfortable as he could, whenever we asked for something he always assisted. His name was Armando, probably one of the best staff members the hotel has.

The hotel is amazing, staff serving you food at the bar (Manuel and Ricardo) to staff near buffet and VIP altitude restaurants were polite, helpful and kind, The VIP section is amazing, restaurant has mind blowing beach and water views. Highly recommended for families.

liked the pools lots of sand in pools with kids, adult pool nice. chairs little uncomfortable; fun places to eat.

Booked the altitude ocean front was amazing , food was also really great, everyone at the resort was very welcoming & Joel was amazing to deal with! Surfos snack bar was delicious, had a great experience

Room cleaning staff always did an amazing job surprising us with little details. All the staff from cleaning to gardeners were always friendly

I enjoyed the pool

The Altitude tower had an amazing view of the ocean! The room was spacious and comfortable and nicely appointed. It would have been nice to have a proper table and chairs to eat at when ordering room service. We loved the à la carte breakfast service at the Grill and the staff there was excellent. The breakfast buffet was not as clean, food was not as good and not the same offerings, and service was not as attentive. For dinner Risotto had delicious Italian food, Hacienda Del Mortero had delicious tacos and the Grill was great too. Portions are small but we liked this as we could try a variety of dishes without wasting food. Ayami was our least favourite restaurant as the Asian food is not authentic but the fish was very fresh. The dinner buffet was mediocre with limited offerings. The Surfos bar was great. We enjoyed the hotdog and hamburger stand by the pool! Sky lounge was nice and usually quiet. The main pool was really nice with a great view of the beach. We were mostly in the adult pool where the swim up bar was located but it needed some work as some tiles were missing and it often seemed scummy with sunscreen. There was a lack of loungers available poolside and some were a bit broken. Would be nice to have more umbrellas and loungers on the beach. You cannot swim at the beach - surf is very rough. Black flag everyday. Beach is gorgeous for walking. Overall a nice resort. A little tired in some areas in need of renovation and a bit understaffed in the restaurants.

We had an ocean view that was beautiful. The sound of the waves was pretty loud all night. The pool was really nice but getting a lounge chair was challenging. The grounds were landscaped and kept up very well. We enjoyed the breakfast and lunch buffets. There was an abundance and variety of food. The onsite restaurants were average to good.

When I checked in I was informed that the room that I had booked was no longer available and they gave me a lesser value room with no refund
