Very enjoyable stay with easy distance from the centre of York and the railway station.
Room was good and comfortable. The shower and washing dispensers seemed to be "muddled up".
Breakfast choice was good and service efficient.

Room wasn't clean, poorly maintained, unusable bathroom. And no sleep due to the loud sound of running water constantly through the night. Offered a voucher, which has never arrived

Lovely ambience, wonderful old building, quirky and visually stunning. We really enjoyed the cosy bar, the restaurant was also very good. Easy 15 min walk to the Micklegate Bar and entry into the old town of York.

An absolute gem of a stay. Talk about old world charm meets luxury. The estate was a gorgeous. The room was adorable. The bathroom was phenomenal with a rain head shower. And the architecture was just stunning from the moment you walked into the property. Well worth the stay and be honest we should’ve stayed in New York longer than one night.

The hotel its self was lovely but certain things let it down slightly like having no tea bags in the room , no food menu in the room or even a number to contact reception . These are minor as the hotel itself is lovely

Booked last minute at this property. Room was very good and clean
Staff were professional but a bit still.
Breakfast was the biggest let down. Cost was very high and the standard of food was not great. Avocado on toast was very plain and boring. Buffet was limited. Pancakes were very thin and tasteless
Then being shoved in your face while you’re eating the extra 2.50 docket was rather rude.
Would go again.

Lovely hotel. Staff excellent - very friendly and helpful.
I was in a party of 14 and the bar in the hotel wasn't really big enough for our group, just a few small tables and chairs - but as it was summer and the weather was fine we could sit outside during the day.
